Clearly reflective of the admission rate of female students taking postgraduate entrance examination from 2007 to 2016 is the chart. The decade witnessed a steady increase in the proportion of female postgraduates from 48% in 2007 to 54.8% in 2016. Despite the three-year stagnation of growth from 2011 to 2013, the figure began to rise rapidly from 2014 on.
Significantly contributing to the phenomenon are the following reasons. On the one hand, women are increasingly aware of the importance of education. In the past, women were discouraged from receiving a higher degree because of gender bias.However, as our society progresses, women are freed from the outdated idea and catching up in higher education. On the other hand, however, women are still suffering from inequality. There are still some employers who discriminate female candidates, so they have to earn a higher degree in order to gain an advantage in the job market
Thus, it is predictable that in the near future the ratio will still be increasing. It is recommendable that our government promote gender equality at university as well as in the workplaces so that women can be treated fairly and do not have to make unnecessary efforts

因此，可以预见，在不久的将来，这一比率将继续上升。我们的政府应当在大学和工作场所促进男女平等，使女性能够得到公平对待，而不必作出不必要的努力。
