Clearly reflective of the number of postgraduates and its growth rate from 2007 to 2016 in our country is the chart. The decade witnessed a steady growth from 418 thousand to 667 thousand in the number of postgraduates, while the growth rate experienced fluctuations, reaching to its peak at 14.5% in 2009 and falling to the bottom at 1.6% in 2014.
Significantly contributing to the phenomenon are the following reasons. In the first place, our country has made favorable policies to welcome more postgraduates. Since higher degree holders play an important role in driving the economy forward, China spare no effort to cultivate more high-end talents in every field. In addition, our government attaches great importance to innovation which is heavily reliant on sci-tech talents. Innovation always takes place when new ideas or creative thoughts, proposed by people with high academic level, are applied. Constant talents supply is the key to the realization of innovation.
Thus, it is predictable that more and more students will be admitted in the future. However, it is recommendable that students who plan to study for the master degree consider the necessity of it carefully instead of following suit.

图表清楚地反映了从2007年到2016年间我国研究生的数量和增加的速度。十年间，研究生数量从41.8万稳定增长到66.7万。而増长率经历了波动，在2009年达到14.5％的峰值，在2014年跌至1.6％的底部。
造成这一现象的主要原因如下。首先，我国已经制定了优惠政策来欢迎更多的研究生。由于高学历的人在经济发展中的重要作用，中国不遗余力地在各个领域培养更多的高端人才。此外，政府十分重视创新，而创新高度依赖科技人オ。创新通常发生在高水平的学术人才提出的新思路，新想法得到应用的时候。持续的人才供应是实现创新的关键。
因此，可以预见的是，将有越来越多的学生将来会被录取。然而，建议打算攻读硕士学位的学生仔细考虑它的必要性而不是盲目跟风。
