Clearly reflective of the number of tourists from China to America and their contribution to America' s local economy in the year of 2015 and 2020 is the chart. The number of tourists jumped more than tenfold, from 1.8 million in 2015 to 21.1 million in 2020. Their contribution also rose accordingly during the period, from 7.3 million dollars to 85 million dollars.
Significantly contributing to the phenomenon are the following reasons. In the first place, Chinese citizens' income has been rising rapidly and hence traveling abroad becomes easily affordable for them. The economic development has created a great many wonderful job opportunities, which has increased personal wealth greatly. In addition, Chinese citizens' needs for traveling are increasing. With higher income and better living conditions,some Chinese tend to travel abroad to experience different cultures and make friends from various backgrounds. Last, it is our tradition to buy gifts for family members and friends when traveling. Due to the tax-free policy, goods purchased abroad are usually more inexpensive than domestically, especially for luxury goods which are an impulse buy for the majority of sightseers.
Thus, it is predictable that the increase in the number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad will not stop. It is recommendable that our government issue some guidance on overseas traveling so that people will have a better travel experience and consume rationally.

因此，可以预见的是，中国公民出国旅游人数的增长不会停止。我们的政府应当出台一些关于海外旅游的指导，这样人们会有更好的旅游体验和理性消费。
