Clearly reflective of the proportion of university graduates who started their own business in China and the world in 2011 and 2015 is the chart. 0. 5%more Chinese graduates chose to run their business in 2015 compared to in 2011, while the rate worldwide experienced only a mild increase from 2.19% in 2011 to 2.2% in 2015.
Largely leading to the phenomenon are the following reasons. In the first place, China has been making more and more favorable policies to encourage young peoples entrepreneurial spirit. Under these policies, business runners are likely to receive subsidies from local governments if their businesses are proved beneficial to the local economy. In addition, the birth of the Internet lowers the barrier of running start ups. The new generation has created a completely new way of working such as offering online education or opening online stores based on Internet technology. Thus, it is predictable that there will be more and more Chinese university students who devote themselves to their own business.
