Clearly reflective of the volume of electronic business around the globe from 1997 to 2011 is the chart. The 14 years experienced a sharp rise from 2 billion dollars to 300 billion dollars in the number of sales volume.
Largely leading to the phenomenon are the following reasons. In the first place, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of electronic commerce. People do not have to go to supermarkets to buy daily necessities and they are often offered favorable discounts, which not only saves their money but also their time. In addition,the popularization of online platform accelerates the development of the electronic business. There have emerged platforms of diversified functions: people can not only buy things online, but also sell second hand stuff to others. book tickets online. And even order food, which incredibly contributed to the growth of electronic business volume.
Thus, it is predictable that in the future the volume will continue to grow. It is recommendable that our government make some policies to promote and protect the development of such business model so that more people can benefit from it.
